hudders-and-hiddles:

I wandered around the Magic Kingdom yesterday thinking about:

– John and Sherlock’s daughter, Sophia, becoming obsessed with Disney movies and begging to go to Disney World, and even though Sherlock would prefer to encourage her more intellectual pursuits, he and John surprise her with a trip for her birthday because they can’t resist indulging her passions, whatever they may be.

– Sherlock being miserable because of all the people and the heat and the amount of sunscreen he has to wear and the humidity making a mess of his hair, but smiling so sweetly and realizing it’s all so very worth it when he sees the way Fee’s face lights up when she meets Princess Merida, John kissing him on the cheek and whispering, “Thank you for planning this for her.”

– The three of them getting dressed up for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, with Sherlock as Captain Hook, John as Peter Pan, and Fee as Tinkerbell, John wondering aloud for the tenth time how in the hell he managed to let Sherlock talk him into wearing tights, but forgetting about all his complaints when, at the sight of him, Fee’s eyes go wide and her face breaks into a huge grin, a miniature copy of that smile Sherlock has always saved just for him (and now for Fee, too), proudly telling everyone they meet that night, “My daddy is Peter Pan!” And it doesn’t hurt either that Sherlock can’t seem to stop staring at his legs.

– Fee passing out, totally exhausted at the end of a day well-spent, and John and Sherlock tucking her into bed together before pouring themselves some wine and watching the fireworks show just visible from their hotel room, Sherlock wrapping his arms around John from behind, holding him close, as they revel in how lucky they are to have found this kind of happiness.
