One of the things I ADORE about Lin and everybody involved in Hamilton is how they are able to take the germ of an idea and transform it, grow it into ART.

Here we have a Tweet from less than a month ago asking why Hamilton’s other kids weren’t featured in the musical, and Lin’s amusing reply that if the OP wants to see eight kids on stage, they should watch The Sound of Music.

Fast forward to today’s #Ham4Ham show, and Lin and Morgan Marcell have created seven new raps for the rest of Hamilton’s kids, performed by the cast of Fun Home, concluding with Philip #2 singing a reimagined verse of “So Long, Farewell“ from The Sound of Music, outside the Richard Rogers Theatre.

This is such a perfect example of the creativity and genius that drives this show.

And also how Lin and company really pay attention to the fanbase and show them a lot of love.

Yes! This times 1000. There are few other shows on Broadway that are more in touch with their fanbase. Like in the case above, Lin and company make such beautiful and generous use of social media and do such an amazing job of connecting with their fans.
