does anyone else suddenly get hit with flashes of dialogue or scenery or characterization that would be perfect to use if you actually had a plot you could incorporate it into

My headcanon is that Deanna Campbell, before her last name was Campbell, had a relationship with a mysterious drifter-type. They were clearly in love, but he was called away back to Wales, and she never told him she was pregnant. She met Samuel Campbell a couple months later and they were married before she gave birth to Mary.

That drifter was Captain Jack Harkness, which totally explains Dean’s womanizing con-man ways and the brothers’ inability to simply stay dead.

I bet in the MCU one of the rewards for the Reading Rainbow kickstarter is an actual Avengers reward, like for $500 you get tickets to see Levar Burton reading picturebooks to you alongside Tony Stark and Steve Rogers.

I bet it was all Bruce’s idea because of how much PBS mattered to him as a kid.

I bet Thor convinced Heimdall to open the Bifrost real quick so that he could get his favorite book from his childhood, and then he read Jane’s favorite too because Tony explained that books read on Reading Rainbow had huge spikes in sales and no one could sell Thor’s book on earth.

I bet Natasha didn’t have a favorite because she never really got to be a kid so she went to the big library, the one on 42nd street, and spent hours devouring book after book after book, trying to find one that’s just right.

I bet I’m going to cry.

I hope in the MCU, they never had to have a kickstarter for Reading Rainbow because it never got cancelled, and Bruce tells Steve about the program one day and Steve is like, “WE HAVE TO BE ON THIS SHOW.” And so he gets Pepper to help him arrange a big Avengers Reading Rainbow special that also coincides with the PBS yearly fundraiser, and that year, PBS makes so much money that they’re set for the next two years and some change.
