I seem to have unintentionally turned this into a writing month. I’ve posted 14 things on AO3 since July 31st. Guess it’s good practice for nanowrimo?

Me: I’m gonna write a story and it’s gonna be great and it will flow easily and all my character’s will dash fully formed onto the page and it will come out perfectly on the first try so I’ll never ever have to edit ever and I’ll for once be happy with something I wrote and it’ll be flawless
Me: *writes*

Me some days later with bags under my eyes and my keyboard keys branded into my face from repeatedly falling asleep on it: I HAD A DREAM MY LIFE WOULD BE SO DIFFERENT FROM THIS HELL I’M LIVING

Caring

the-right-writing:

Some characters will care about every issue they hear about. Some characters will only care about things that affect them. Some characters will care about the things that are easiest to deal with.

Many authors make the mistake of having all their characters care about the same five things and nothing else. This ignores the rich mines of diversity and conflict that come from characters that care about different things.

Real people have different concerns. Characters should too.

AAAND the editing is done!

Just have to resubmit it to CreateSpace and, yeah, I have myself a book. Squee.

Die Vampire Die ~ Title of Show

Struggling to finish editing this book, and I needed to remind myself of this.
