And now I’m just picturing Castiel falling in love with Jack as he teaches him to be human and protects him, so by the time they get back to Dean and Sam, that ship has sailed and Jack and Castiel are lovers and Dean is alone because of the choices he made. And I just made myself tear up.

I can totally see Cas and Jack hooking up. Def the slow build happening here. I mean, who is going to teach Cas how to be a human? Dean hugged him, fed him, lied to him and kicked him out on his ass. Someone else is going to be there to pick up the pieces, and Dean isn’t very altruistic. He’s jealous and possessive and he doesn’t like people touching his things.
