What do you think about Jared and Jensen both saying (at Torcon) that SPN is about Sam, that he’s the main character, and Dean is just sort of there to support him, which echos what the writers have been saying lately on the Twitters?

rootsunknown:

I think that 1) this is nothing new, 2) the difference between Sam’s role and Dean’s role is in huge part the reason why the show is as complex as it is, and 3) fandom takes this the (really, really) wrong way.

we always sob and cry over ianto’s death

how come no one cries over the other people who died at the Thames House?

Mothers

daughters

sons

husbands

wives

fathers

So many innocent people were killed. So many kids lost fathers or mothers (Maybe even both.) Mothers and Fathers buried their kids. Wives buried their husbands. Husbands buried their wives. People with so much potential died. And NOBODY not ONE person ever cries about them or talks about them.

Also, I’ll be over here bandaging up my heart nbd.

I’m still traumatized by Frobisher and his family, no matter how many times I see that scene – and I can’t help but wonder how many other families went the same way once it became obvious that soldiers were going to take their kids one way or another. How many parents were killed trying to protect their own kids? We don’t know.

Children of Earth told a private story – Torchwood’s story – but it also gave us enough information to tell a terrible story about humanity on a massive scale.

Yes I cried over Ianto, but the part that actually gave me cold shivers and goosebumps? When Johnny and his mates started fighting back. Because they’re just people trying to protect their families and their kids.
