Because Gabriel is widely considered in modern days to be the “Christmas Angel,” owing to his crucial role in the birth narrative of Jesus of Nazareth, he takes great pleasure and amusement at the Advent season. Despite his ordinarily chic vestments, he may or may not have been spotted in ugly Christmas sweaters in the past several decades; he is infamously fond of (very) spiked eggnog; he knows almost every Christmas carol and tune by heart; and he finds tinsel, wreaths, trees and lights to be deeply delightful.
