20 things to do on a bad day

1)First things first, lock yourself in the bathroom, your room, wherever you feel most comfortable naked.

2)Now, off with the clothes! That’s it, butt naked. Don’t be shy, nobody can see.

3)Look at yourself in the mirror, take a pen, marker, eyeliner, anything washable and write every part of yourself that you hate. You heard me, you think you have gross hair? Write it across your forehead. Hate your hands? You know where to write it. Don’t miss anything.

4)Now it’s time for the greatest shower/bath of your life. Light some candles, some incense, spray some Febreeze, whatever makes you happy, light it!! Or, smell it. Whatever, you know what I mean.

5)Start your bath or shower with the warmest water you can handle, get in and wash yourself up. Use up all the hot water, use up all the soap, your favorite soap! Now watch as all those negative comments about yourself are washed away, going down the drain, and ceasing to exist, just like all the other dead cells on your body. All that negativity you’ve been feeling lately? Gone.

6)Wash your hair, once, twice, who cares, whatever makes you feel at your most beautiful, do it.

7)Shave your legs, don’t shave at all, braid your arm pit hair, dye it, shave one but not the other, get creative.

8)Finish washing away those worries and get out of the shower and wrap yourself up in your favorite towel (don’t lie, we all have one).

9)Stand in front of the mirror naked again, admire your soft skin, your imperfect freckles and how your hair has gotten longer. Look at your eyelashes and the scars on your knees from when you fell at the park. Smile and look at your teeth that fit together like a perfect puzzle. Admire the true beauty that is you and smile because of how damn perfect of a person you are.

10)Find your cutest, sexiest or comfiest outfit. That’s what you’re wearing today.

11)Next, find your favorite band, playlist, song, soundtrack and blast it as loud as you want, or as loud as you can if people are home…

12)Sing along, as loud as you want, EVEN if people are home.

13)Get out that make up and wear it exactly how you want, look at tutorials or go with the flow. Or don’t wear any at all, I feel more refreshed these days. But this is about you, not me.

14)Take selfies. As many as you can stand. Take 10, take 50, post all of your favorite ones. All of them. Confidence can make you feel better more than anything. And who cares if nobody likes it, you’re goddamn beautiful.

15)Go for a walk or if you’re lazy, go for a drive, drive 10 miles to your favorite restaurant and eat by yourself, sometimes it’s better to enjoy your own company. Or with your friends, whatever makes you smile the most.

16)Drive back, or, drive another 10 miles in the other direction because you remembered how much you loved that Frozen Yogurt place. Get as many toppings as you can afford, this day is all about you.

17)Drive somewhere you’ve never been. People watch. It’s funny.

18)Take more pictures, put them all together and post it. #Adventure #IAmBeautiful

19)Go back home. Take a nap. With a million pillows, on your floor, in your moms bed, in your car. Take a nap.

20)Wake up, look at yourself in the mirror, smile. Take another shower. Laugh. Enjoy yourself. Enjoy this moment.

Nothing is more refreshing then waking up and realizing that right now, right at this moment, you are alive, and you are a beautiful human being who is capable of doing anything. So get up, take your clothes off. Take a shower.
