So I was helping a customer on the phone today and she asked me a question that she knew was out of our usual scope (I work in tech support) and this was about finding a journal article so she could link it. I broke out the google foo and walked her through finding the article on Google Scholar.
She was so happy and said. “I know this isn’t your usual job, I just hoped I’d get a geek.”
I should have told her I was wearing a Doctor Who shirt, drinking tea and had “The Hobbit” on my desk. I did tell her she definitely reached the geek.
