I bet after the pool incident Sherlock didn’t even remember to get milk. What a berk.

What always gets me here is the WE. WE need milk. As a unit. 

I’ve had flat mates. We…aren’t a we. Everyone has their own food, their own cabinets. Their own money. Take my card.

There was a WE here that transcended being friends, flatmates, colleagues. They fell into it so quickly, the togetherness of them, the bond, the unspoken understanding that they were a THEY, instead of two individuals. 

We need milk. 

^^^ this is very true though. Most flatmates that I’ve observed, they treat it as just 2 individuals sharing the same space. I pay my half of the rent, you pay yours. I buy my own food, you buy yours. This is mine, that is yours. That mindset is quite common especially when the flatmates aren’t very close. So the fact that John and Sherlock refers to it as ‘we’ speaks a lot about how close and comfortable they are with each other
