There’s a pattern here, they’re trying to pass a message and I can’t figure it out.

Charlie is a an add on, they gained her along the way by accident and she wiggled her way into their hearts and slowly became a hunter. She’s nerdy, and socially awkward and her and Dean go together perfectly – partners in crime. Green (if we’re gonna go with color recognition Dean wears this color a lot and it is also the color of his eyes//also recognized with natural/nature/she fits in/she feels natural).
Kevin came into the family by heaven purpose. He had other plans, had a life which was uprooted by God and planted him right and the Winchester front door. They kept him around and kept him alive but he still struggled with, and still struggles with working over whether the Winchester’s love him as family or love him because he’s useful. Blue/gray (the color of Cas eyes//blue tie, tranquil, calming, loyal, the sky).
Castiel is the perfect combination of the two. Angel on the inside, internal worry of his purpose within the group now that he’s human, his angel life only existing within his memories. On the outside he is Dean’s partner in crime, socially awkward, gain by accident and become so instrumental to Dean’s life that he can’t really be happy without him.
Red hoodie, red, the color of blood, bloodlines what makes a family. It runs through all of them. “Family don’t end with blood” and that is the physical manifestation of each one becoming family. It’s the episode Castiel is shown for the first time in clothes, as a human. It’s the episode Charlie says she loves Dean and it’s the episode Kevin fully rejoins them and sort of accepts his position within their group. Each of them becoming a little family with the Winchesters. Also all three of them go to the bunker with those hoodies on, the bunker being the proverbial home to all of them.
