I love that Sherlock is playing smug specifically for John’s benefit, like he makes this arrogant statement (it’s a cross I have to bear) and then immediately softens and smiles and looks to John to make sure he’s hit his mark, and John laughs because he knows it’s a show, he knows Sherlock for real, and jfc I hate them both
