Deutsches Afrikakorps, 1941, during a lull in fighting a Panzer II crew enjoys an omelet made on the sizzling surface of their tank.
I’ve always wondered about the temp of tanks during WWII did they have A/C?
Were they warm during operation barbarosa?
Not a single type of temperature control, although in the cold they could rely to a degree on the warmth of the engine.
Also, in the russian winter they were sometimes forced to start fires under the engines, just to get them warm enough to run.
