TIL some chimpanzees and bonobos are beginning to display very primitive precursors to religious behaviour

via reddit.com

Ronald K. Siegel has studied the precursors of religious faith in African elephants and concludes that “elephants are aware of natural cycles, as they practice “moon worship,” waving branches at the waxing moon and engaging in ritual bathing when the moon is full.“[7] Observations by Pliny the elder also note supposed elephant reverence for the celestial bodies.[8]

Had a dream this morning that I was an extra in a movie with Tom Hiddleston, and it was something in period costumes. We were shooting in Colorado for… reasons. I dunno, mountains in the background, probably. When the shot ended we needed to move locations and I deliberately hung back so I could stalk try to talk to Tom, and he said he didn’t like his costume. I asked him why and he said his shoes hurt.

And then I woke up in full-on ‘speaking to a celebrity’ panic even though I was, you know, still in my own damn bed, so thanks for that subconscious.

This shit is why I don’t think I could ever try to meet him at a con or anything like that 😂 because I would immediately burst into flames and die.

OMG I’m right there beside you.  Not about Tom, but about celebs in general.  I’d burst into flames and leave little tufts of red hair floating in the air.

The first time I met Mark Gatiss I threw a cider all over myself so I totally feel you there Red

WHAT???  @lmirandas  You met Mark??  Your response indicated you’ve done it more than once!!  You breathed the same air!!!  (I’d totally do the cider thing too.)

I”m still amazed you kept it together when you met Rupert.

The first time I did a photo op with John Barrowman I honestly don’t remember the few seconds between asking to touch his butt and the walking away because my mind blanked on oh my God John Barrowman is touching me.

And the picture pretty much shows that…

Trying a different ADHD med cause i feel like the adderrall isn’t doing much. Starting that in the morning.

It’s frustrating sometimes to realize i’m a pretty obvious case of ADHD, and yet nobody really noticed until I was in my mid 30s. I try to focus on the future, on taking the tools I’m gaining to build a better me, but there’s always gonna be part of me that will wonder.

Still, i’m gonna be 40 in 5 months, here’s hoping my 40s are an amazing time for me, and concerns about lost time will be obliterated.
