imagine thinking nail polish is a gendered thing. unnecessary shiny adornment has no gender, if anything it’s more crow than human

Nail polish itself isn’t gendered, but most people who work with their hands for a living don’t want to spend money so flippantly on an ornament, that’s going to be destroyed by the work being done.

You’re not wrong about nail polish not being gendered, but most careers in said trades are usually dominated by men, unopposed.

Imagine thinking that there’s no issue with an unbalanced workforce

You plan on signing up for a craftsmen trade?

Howmany women do you se becoming plumbers? Electricians? Framers? Masonaries?

You don’t. Because it’s not a sold easy job, it’s serious work that almost no one wants to do.

I’m not say I take no issues with an unbalanced workforce, it’s that no one takes issue with an unbalanced work force.

When was the last time you say a push for more women in septic tank repair?

Hey guys this just in, women aren’t interested in

Serious Manly Work

they prefer the

Easy Feminine Jobs

Non-binary people prefer not to work at all and just drift through reality avoiding all jobs

CAN CONFIRM

Fun fact: my dad actively tried to push me to become a Plummer (he was a bricky and mason by trade) because he said there was shit ton of money for women in those types of male dominated trades. After all no woman home alone really wants a random guy to come into their house and do repairs.

Now I chose not to persue that, not to keep my nail polish clean but because I’m a more academic than practical person…

My little sister however, has just started her own ‘handyman’ business and is making a killing because my dad was right and all of her customers are women who don’t want a scary guy in the house. She has Plummed in bathrooms, refit kitchens, torn down walls, replastered buildings, and yes…unclogged pipes.

She also has the fanciest nails I’ve ever seen.

So much love for your sister!

It reminds me oh the lady who started a mechanic shop where all the mechanics were ladies. And they had a nail salon inside so that the ladies had stuff to do while they waited.

if i wasn’t non-binary and drifting through reality i would absolutely become a plumber

I’m genderfluid which means I’m constantly running between being a plummer, working at a jewelry shop, and hurtling through space

use the right knives when you cook please

i’m not kidding and i’m not being mean i’m watching these videos of people trying to cut like, carrots, and they’re using butcher knives, and i just… I cook a lot and I don’t own a butcher knife, I’ve never had one, I’ve never needed one. I don’t cleave through… bone like. please

like listen, this set is $18.99 with the coupon it has available right now. unless you do a lot of cooking in which case you’re not the target audience of this post you don’t need more knives than this like… please

from left to right:

  • paring knife: it’s good for small cuts. deseeding a jalapeno, cutting up strawberries.
  • utility knife: allegedly these make cutting tomatoes easier. i don’t actually find cutting tomatoes difficult, so i don’t know. i use it mostly for trimming meat.
  • santoku knife: this is essentially a chef’s knife with a straight blade. it’s good for veggies.
  • chef’s knife: i use a chef’s knife for almost everything. it can chop a head of romaine and it can cut a chicken breast in half. whatever. just don’t use it for tiny shit.
  • slicing knife: good for slicing cooked meats
  • bread knife: bread

it’s also gay.

and here’s a cutting board with a knife sharpener. keeping your knives sharp is a good idea because cuts from dull knives are harder to treat, are more likely to get infected, and are more painful over time. cuts happen but you can reduce your risks

Who wants to get me some knives?

Gay knives save lives

peter parker is a trans boy

  • peter getting bullied for being trans is 10x more believable than him getting bullied for being a nerd
  • “penis parker” is actually a transphobic insult. when peter first started packing, it fell out of his pants and flash has never let him live it down.
  • ned asks him “do you lay eggs?” even though only female spiders lay eggs because ned knows peter is trans
  • peter is shorter than the entirety of the cast
  • even though most 15yo boys have tied ties before, aunt may has to teach peter how to do a windsor knot bc this is his first school dance as a boy
  • honestly the entirety of the “I know what a girl sounds like.” “I’m not a girl! I’m a man! I mean, I’m a male!” scene is good evidence
  • cis guys can start puberty as early as 9 years old, but peter is just now getting the “your body is flowering” comments at 15 because he recently started T

THIS MADE ME SO HAPPY I DONT EVEN KNOW HOW PLEASE I ADVISE YOU GUYS TO DRAW ALONG WITH BOB ROSS IN MS PAINT IT IS AN EXPERIENCE I AM SO CONFUSED BUT PLEASED FUCKING DO IT

Bob Ross teaches you using layering and color theory, which are principles which work no matter what you paint with. Some materials won’t blend the same as oils obviously, but as Ross himself said, “you can paint with almost anything.”

Paint along with whatever you have, it’s great practice.

petition for straight white boys to not be allowed to pursue a film major at any college anywhere for the next 50 years or ever

my roommate is a straight white boy pursuing a degree in film and i know exactly what this post is trying to stop

What is it trying to stop?

As a straight white male film major, never has a post brought me from offended to fair enough so quickly

I was offended for a few of my former classmates…then I remembered a few of their spec scripts and I was like…yeah yeah 50 years definitely
