The customer service guy at the Kia dealership just came back to tell me about some recalled part or another they can fix while we’re here.
He asked if I could stay a little longer, and then he said “I see you’ve got your work here with you.” For some reason (dumb nervous reflex) I then told him, “It’s a grant proposal.”
A GRANT PROPOSAL. Why would I say that?
I guess because “I’m writing Sherlock Holmes gay pornography” just doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue…
Though a lot of things are rollling off tongues in this chapter. *wink nudge*
A grant proposal sounds like an excellent excuse. “Granted, I didn’t think things would turn out this way, but shall we do the do?”
Just…. Lin-Manuel’s face when the Grammy crowd cheered so loud at his appearance that his second line couldn’t be heard.

Cried my way through the performance and win, overwhelmed with pride and love for these talented people, so grateful that in the venn diagram of life the Hamilton family circle generously overlaps the Sesame family circle. How did we get so lucky?
