I was tagged by @awabubbles to post the LAST line of my last 10 fics. I must admit I’m curious as well.

  1. Mycroft fell back asleep, still holding John’s hand. The Knight and the Dragon
  2. “That is an excellent proposition.” said Sherlock warmly, watching as John took his place.

     Sherlock’s Notebook

  3. Sherlock melted into his embrace, knowing that John would take care of him as he always did.
    Cravings

  4. Sticking close behind the man, John followed him into car, now empty of Anthea, leaving them alone with the sound of rain hitting the roof.

Coming Home  (this is technically unfinished, I need to write more)

  5. There were still things that needed to be discussed, but they could do so in the morning light, as they faced it togetherNot Strictly Business

  6. And not nearly enough time to get dressed.

Midwest Summer  (This one is better with the last two lines: Jack got into his truck, knowing that he’d have time for a fast shower before the angel got back. And not nearly enough time to get dressed. )

  7. Mycroft gave a nod and vanished into the night.

     Certain Steps

  8. All he needs to do is observe.

    Observe

  9. And that was the most important thing.

Only Know You Love Him When You Let Him Go

  10. It was time to go home.
    Some Kind of Home

I think I like to end on fluffy schmoop or referencing the title apparently. Off topic, those fics go back to July. I’m really slowing down. Anyway, I’m going to tag @phipiohsum475, @hums-happily@fangirlscout@tiger-in-the-flightdeck and @guixonlove

I like Love and Monsters, the one episode I can’t stand is “Tooth and Claw” I want to smack both of them repeatedly in that episode and tell them to have just a little bit of respect

Ah, Queen Victoria and the Werewolves! I think there are weird aspects of that episode… for one thing, Rose prancing around in modern clothes for so long, and, like you said, the two of them being inappropriately silly (I’ve always disliked the whole “We are not amused” bit they had going). But I loved that this episode references Torchwood, and I liked the little “twist” at the end about the royal family. And the supporting cast in that episode is particularly excellent. It’s not one of my favorites, by far, but it’s not one I mind watching. Sort of one of those “background” episodes where I don’t necessarily pay much attention while I’m watching it?

Nothing, nothing, NOTHING will ever match my hatred I have for The Doctor’s Wife. And I can’t even explain WHY I hate it so much. I’m even disappointed in myself, because it’s written by Neil Gaiman, one of my favorite people on planet earth. And yet… HATE IT. With every fiber of my being. There’s something a bit Tim Burton-y about it, I think, that I don’t like (I am the ultimate problematic fave: I don’t like Tim Burton at ALL).

Well if you don’t like Tim Burton I can see why you don’t like it. Tooth and Claw did win me a trivia contest though. I won a Mister Potato Head Dalek for knowing who founded Torchwood (wanna see a picture of it?)

YES. POTATO DALEK? I MUST SEEEEEE!

The eyes are just weird on it. I wasn’t going to take it out of the box, but eventually it found its way out anyway. Yes, I have too many pop figures there in the background. And my bestie made me a copy of the Torchwood charter. This is my den of geekness office.

omg THAT IS THE CUTEST EVER! And I approve of the den of geek ;D

If you want better pictures of the Den of Geek, I’ll refer you to this. It was my birthday present to myself this year before my finances went to shit. Sometimes I really wish I hadn’t spent so much, but I didn’t know what would happen the rest of this year.

So [my roommate from college]‘s aunt and uncle were old-school fen, back in the day.  This is what she recently inherited:

Now, I’m going to omit credits on these, simply because some of the names of the artists may be their real names.  Since what fandom was then is not what fandom is fandom now, and there’s a big difference between ‘publishing something in a limited-run mail-order printed fanzine in 1973’ and ‘posting it online where google can find it in 2015,’ my policy here is to add credits only if the artists request it (they can email me at this username dot gmail dot com).

Ready, friends?

image

Are you sure?

image

It gets better.

image

Aw, that’s…

image

…oh hey tentacles, nice to know some things were always classics.

image

“Draw me like one of your french girls” before Titanic was even a thing.

image

Is that Risa?

image

It’s gotta be Risa.

image

I actually really like this artist.  Fortunately, they were fairly prolific:

image

You know what, I know what the context for this one and the next is, but they’re better without.

image

And then the classic ‘caught changing’ pinup, which I find much more entertaining than the reboot version:

image

And lest you think it’s all about the dudes:

image

…this is just a small sampling.  I haven’t even got to the tentacle-penis pinup or the slavery AU or the “did they go to a Roman planet? and is that a crucifixion in the background of the kirk/spock snogging” pics.  Or the tribble humping a wig stand.  But this post is long enough.
