Soundcloud is being a butt so this is TUMBLR EXCLUSIVE for now
this is my NEW FAVORITE THING
There are lots of people in happy marriages who turn out to have terrible secrets or to have done some awful deed in the past that must be paid for in the present. In Doyle’s stories, those are the ghosts you need to worry about.

One can read this in connection with the special but it makes an awful lot of sense for series 3. And probably series 4 as well.

The torchwood fandom is literally that family where everyone knows each other and if you haven’t met yet you’re bound to soon because we’re big but not TOO BIG and we all get together on Saturdays for coffee and the table is so crowded that you accidentally bump into someone and you don’t recognize them so you start to think “did you get invited or did you just let yourself in???” but either way it doesn’t matter because the coffee’s still good even after 2009 and we’ve all slightly lost it anyways
Okay I just finished listening to Hamilton. I don’t generally cry over cast albums unless I’ve actually seen the show, but this one’s an exception, I suppose because most of the story is in the song. But holy crap is it good, and yes I was crying at the end.
So
I just started listening to Hamilton this evening HOLY SHIT. Can any
Hamilton fans link me to a performance of this song???
I’m sure it will get air time at the Tonys but I don’t live in a
place that gets new musicals and I WANT TO SEE THIS SONG PERFORMEDAnd
y’know if you want to hear a different musical approach to american
history might I recommend Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson? (which is
kind of an emo rock musical).Sadly, I don’t think there’s video of any of the songs in their entirety, but if you watch the compilations you can get a decent sampling.
Definitely watch the CBS video from this Hamilton Primer post; it’s got the biggest chunk of “My Shot” that I’ve seen.
And then join the rest of us in lamenting that we can’t see this show live, because most of us can’t afford to go to New York, plus it’s pretty much sold out through February anyway.
They’re hoping to do a National Theater Live version of it sometime! Let’s keep our fingers crossed that they do, and before March when Lin leaves the show.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just started listening it to this morning and holy crap it’s amazing. I also straight up cried at one point. I’ll need to check out that primer.
