honestly tho, jokes aside, the blockquotes and conversation-focused layout of tumblr posts was one of the unique and endearing features of tumblr. it has literally been a staple of this website for years. if we wanted a basic looking comments section where the focus was on who made the comment more than the comment itself we would’ve all stopped using tumblr and moved to another social media site ages ago. congratulations staff, you took your one outstanding uniqueness and you fuckin blew it.
