I’m amused as hell over the colossal bad judgment of nearly all of Sherlock’s friends in regards to their relationships like

John: *gets into cars with total stranger women because?  He doesn’t fear getting axe-murdered???  And he hits on them??*

John: *accidentally marries an assassin*

Molly: *accidentally dates the world’s greatest criminal mind*

Mrs. Hudson: *accidentally married a cartel leader*

Sherlock: I’ve got to protect my dumb friends they keep trying to marry psychopaths when I’m not looking.  **SUSPICIOUSLY EYES LESTRADE**

Lestrade: What?

Sherlock: Don’t you start.

Seriously, Rhiannon?  Blame the victim?  I don’t think I like her.

I’ve usually heard the theory that she’s in denial about it. Or that she only saw the yelling or whatever and Ianto tried to hide the physical abuse from her. (Because when has our poor troubled cinnamon roll ever been good about going to others about his problems?)

Yep, in denial.  I think she was there when things were happening, but girls want to see their dads as heroes, so I can see her lying to herself about it.

I always think it could have been a little of both. Ianto probably tried to protect her from a lot of their Dad’s abuse, he tends to take on misery so others don’t have to. She also might have been the “favourite” so she didn’t get as much of it. And what she did see, she’s in denial about for previously discussed reasons.

I’ve always thought that it would be very likely that Ianto was abused because of him being autistic.  There are(sadly enough)a lot of parents that will abuse their autistic children and not their neurotypical children,so it could be very possible that Rhiannon didn’t experience any abuse and it was just Ianto who experienced the abuse.   Now keep in mind that I’m not trying to justify it at all(I’m autistic myself).

That’s a very good point, actually. I also have a head canon that he’s mildly Austistic and that’s probably why I relate to him so well. That definitely could have been part of it.

Actually, that headcanon is actually canon(I apologize for using the “high-functioning” slur: x).

Awesome. 🙂 Yep, if Gareth says it, then it’s canon to me, which makes me very happy.

Girlfriend? No, not really my area.

5th year anniversary of the most heterosexual scene in existence

Look at Sherlock’s face when he says, “no.” Sure, it’s just a one second gif, but doesn’t he look so sad, so dejected, so suspicious, like, why is this tiny doctor man asking me about the lack of someone to feed me up? Is he going to make fun of me? Everyone makes fun of me. No one wants me. Here we go again. I’m alone, tiny adorable doctor man, is that what you want to know, if I’m alone? I am. I’m unloveable. I’ll tell you it’s me, that it’s not you, because it really is me. It’s all me. I’ll tell you I’m married to my work so I don’t have to pretend that no one wants me, because I’m a freak, I’m a sociopath, and I’m so tired of it, so no, I don’t have anyone, and I bet I can’t have you, too.

I’m sorry. I don’t know what just happened.
