Real or not real, Torchwood style.

So now I have a problem.

I’ve read so much fanfiction, I’ve kind of forgotten what is actually Torchwood canon…

Ianto’s a dragon, right? …and he works for SHIELD?

Yep. And he’s immortal. And him and Jack have 2 kids and a house.

And John Hart helped correct the timeline so Ianto didn’t die in CoE right? That happened in canon right?

No, it was the Doctor in the Tardis. Don’t you remember?

Pretty sure it was in the initial announcement. I’d have to look it up. So I’m hoping it’s the original team, but earlier in canon. We’ll probably know more once Jack’s is released. Also I somehow totally missed that big finish is doing River song?

Gonna have to go digging then… when it’s not 4am.

You know what? I totally missed the River Song news as well, but I’ve been liking the show less and less as it goes on and I haven’t really been paying attention. However, River was a favorite of mine towards the beginning of her run. I’ll probably give it a chance. Maybe they can reignite my River Song passion.

I’m still watching, but I’m looking forward to Moffat moving on.

On her childhood:

“I counted everything. I counted the steps to the road, the steps up to church, the number of dishes and silverware I washed … anything that could be counted, I did.”

On her NASA calculations:

“Early on, when they said they wanted the capsule to come down at a certain place, they were trying to compute when it should start. I said, ‘Let me do it. You tell me when you want it and where you want it to land, and I’ll do it backwards and tell you when to take off.’ That was my forte.”

Katherine really stood out in her field because she was the only woman who asked questions.

“The women did what they were told to do,” she explained. “They didn’t ask questions or take the task any further. I asked questions; I wanted to know why.“

In 2011, when asked if she still counts things:

“Oh, yes. And things have to be parallel. I see a picture right now that’s not parallel, so I’m going to go straighten it. Things must be in order.”
