#this is kind of terrifying tho #b/c we saw in previous episodes how absolute naomi’s control of castiel was #when she ordered him to kill samandriel he didn’t hesitate for an instant #but even with that kind of influence she still had to make him kill ‘dean’ a thousand times over before she declared him ready #is this what he was doing for the entire span of time between 8.10 and 8.17?? #i wonder how many attempts it took before he could actually make himself do it #how many times before he could stab dean in the heart and not want to throw up afterwards #how many times before he could do it without hesitating #and even under that amount of conditioning when it comes to the real thing he STILL can’t go through with it #castiel loves selfishly and possessively and destructively but he also loves absolutely #it’s the only way he knows how #and the full force of that love is focused on one single fragile insignifcant human being (via electricskeptic)
