Oh yes, absolutely no homo in Master Blackmailer. None. It isn’t in any way the subplot the film. 

That molly was obviously just selling the Colonel’s secret family recipe for bunt cake. And all the men in the club, with its statues of Greek gods, that were holding hands and cuddling and murmuring into each other’s ears…. definitely no homo. 

And hey, the look on Holmes’ face when he hears the news of the Colonel taking the soldier’s way out…

That is in no way the expression of a man who is personally connected to the situation. That is definitely not the face of a man who is thinking about the soldier in his life. The same soldier who later offers himself up to blackmail, who threatens an armed man with a chair, who refuses to let Holmes do something monumentally stupid without him at his side. He is certainly not thinking of that soldier taking the same way out if they get caught. 

After all, what could they get caught with? 

It’s not as if they are so comfortable and intimate with one another that they can bathe and dress in each other’s presence. 

It isn’t as if that on more than one occasion, Watson changes with the door open. (At least one of these times is in Holmes’ bedroom. The second picture is harder to tell, because I can’t match the wallpaper. But the cluttered vanity hints that it’s Holmes’.) 

Holmes certainly not so comfortable with his companion that he can wear nothing but a sheet around the house. And hey, if their knees are practically touching placed at an angle where their feet likely are, and they’re sitting in each other’s chair rather than their own, it’s fine because Holmes kisses a girl later. 

Don’t forget that Holmes in no way ever has that goddamned work-in-progress model sailing ship on display in his room again, rather than in Watson’s room. 

No homo. None of the homo.

Because you know, he kisses a girl.
