Malcolm Merlyn/Dr. Jacob Glaser Slashfic, Explicit

jazzforthecaptain:

So this afternoon, Merindab and I collaborated ideas into what turned out to be a spectacularly fun fic. She wrote this – I just supplied the, um, character guidance? – but indicated that I should post it, so here it is.

I can explain why this exists, really.

Really.

We were talking about how fandoms exist shipping characters played by Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, meshing the worlds of say, Star Trek and Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Universe. And when it clicked, I said, oh, that would be like if I shipped Malcolm Merlyn from Arrow and Dr. Jacob Glaser from Stonehenge Apocalypse. Because they’re played by John Barrowman and Misha Collins, respectively, and I (for the uninformed) ship Jack/Cas like flippin’ Fedex.

…And then I started getting ideas. Like how Jacob craves recognition, for someone to take him seriously, and how someone like Malcolm might see some value in an idea of his (because someone like Malcolm thought it would be an excellent idea to put a GIANT EARTHQUAKE MACHINE under the ‘slums’ of Sterling City so, yeah, excellent out of the box decision making skills there, right up Jacob’s alley). All it would take is for Malcolm to work up a good front of earnest interest in Jacob’s theories (with a solid promise that it would be used for good) before Jacob started ponying up information.

Give it five minutes, he’ll be flat on his back.

He’s a healthy conspiracy theorist and so it wouldn’t take all that long before Jacob figured out he’d been played and/or things went badly south for the world, but you know me, MY SHIPS ARE NEVER HAPPY.

But Merinda wrote me some lovely smut. So without further adieu, *jazz hands*
