Moffats line about wanting to see a man play the queen always confuses me, cos isn’t that just the king?
No, he meant a specific queen. Basically he was being a spiteful brat and saying that wanting a shapeshifting timelord in a species that can have fluid gender to be a woman is absurd as wanting a man to play like, Queen Elizabeth II.
