Baby Watson. What do we do with Baby Watson.

Here are the options for S4 as I see them. Let me know if I miss any.

1) Mary has the baby. Mary and John stay home and raise the baby. Result = SHOW OVER

2) Mary has the baby. Mary runs away with the baby. Result = John back with Sherlock but TRAGEDY because JOHN NEVER SEES HIS BABY AGAIN

3) Mary has a stillborn baby. Result = TRAGEDY TOO SAD EVEN IF MARY LEAVES AND CASES RESUME

4) Mary dies in childbirth. Result = SEE ABOVE

5) Mary has the baby. Baby turns out not to be John’s. John cannot forgive Mary and they divorce. Result = SAD BUT OKAY AND CASES RESUME

6) Mary has baby. Mary dies in childbirth but baby survives. Sherlock and John raise baby Archie together. Result = INCREDIBLY CUTE SCENES OF SHERLOCK FOLDING DIAPERS LIKE SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE BUT CASES BECOME A PROBLEM

7) Mary and baby die somewhere between seasons. Result = TERRIBLE WRITING BUT CASES RESUME

8) Mary is faking her pregnancy. How? Science. Result = SURPRISE TWIST BUT DIVORCE HAPPENS AND CASES RESUME

Man, this is fantastic. 

Since someone else mentioned option 9, I’ll go for 

10) The baby is born with ~special powers~ and bad guys are after it to harness its powers to take over the world, so Mary and John have to give the baby up to small-time farmers in Kansas to keep him her safe. 

11) Baby is born at time and place that renders him/her likely candidate for fulfilling major prophecy.  In order to subvert prophecy, Voldemoriarty (or, you know, whoever) arrives, kills Mary and John, but is unable to kill Baby Watson.  Sherlock raises Baby Watson alone, training him/her all the while to combat crime and/or Dark Lords.  Result = TRAGEDY BUT ALSO SPECTACLE PLUS POSSIBILITY OF INTERACTION WITH DEADED JOHN WATSON. Showdown with Voldemoriarty slated for s5 finale.

If someone does not fic option 11 I will die.
