Loki stepped out onto the balcony from the meadhall. Behind him he could hear laughter as his brother told another joke. His fist clenched, but any words he might have said were swallowed up inside.
A noise made him turn and he watched as the strange blue box materialzed a few steps away. The door opened and a man leaned out with a smile. “Loki, good, I’ve been looking for you…”
“Doctor…maybe this isn’t the best time…” He glanced back towards the laughter.
“Oh come on, I’ll have you back by morning. Got a bit of a spot on Calis V, need someone clever to help sort it.”
Loki glanced at the meadhall one more time, then gave a short nod. “Very well then,” and he stepped into the Tardis.
