I like that alt!Sam could still secretly be a badass if he wanted to, hence grabbing a bat and instantly going on the defensive, even if he hadn’t spent his whole life training to be a soldier like real!Sam.
i’m sure the potential would be there. And he did go along with Dean, even if he didn’t believe him and thought he was nuts, though part of that was probably the djinn trying to protect itself.

The worst part is in Dean’s fantasy he imagines everybody else being happy. But it’s clear that he just stays at home and drinks alot (aka why everyone keeps asking “are you drunk) like Dean’s own happiness doesn’t even matter to him.
Yeah, I noticed that too.And alt!Sam was weirded out by Dean being warm and fuzzy, but not surprised he was rustling up his mom’s silverware. Wonder if alt!Sam was becoming a lawyer to protect his brother.
That silverware scene also reminded me of episode one. Didn’t Sam grab a bat then too when Dean was in his room?
