HEY GUYS STOP FOR A MOMENT WHILE I TELL YOU ABOUT THIS AWESOME LADY
This is Wendy Davis, a Democratic state senator from Texas. She started a filibuster at 11 AM today to stop the Republican-controlled state senate from voting on a bill that would impose heavy restrictions on women’s right to obtain abortions in Texas. If she lasts until midnight, this session of the senate will end, and a vote on the bill won’t happen unless the governor calls another special legislative session.
