They aren\u2019t\u00a0\u201cfights\u201d in the original sense of \u201cthrow two people in a ring and have them beat each other up until the loser faints\u201d. Definitely not. The ending is already determined by the story the company has written for the characters the wrestlers are portraying.<\/p>\n

Is the skill<\/i>\u00a0fake? No. Is the blood<\/i>\u00a0fake? No – though often wrestlers do have tricks to make it look extra bloody. Are they really hitting each other? \u2026. usually. And these guys (and GIRLS) DO get injured during shows, and sometimes, tragically, they die during stunts.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s\u00a0\u201cfake\u201d in some sense, but it\u2019s no more fake than a choreographed gymnastics show. You wouldn\u2019t call a gymnast\u2019s show \u201cfake\u201d because they had a planned routine!!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

That\u2019s really well put. Some<\/i>\u00a0of the hits are fake, or executed in such a way as to cause minimal real physical harm, but they\u2019re still getting hit.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
