I believe Greg realized it and probably would have brought John in or at least questioned him but remembered Hope forced a 16 year old boy to kill himself. The other deaths were tragic too but this was a literal child just trying to get home. So Greg decided Sherlock was right and let it drop. But so many people are like hahaha Lestrade is so dumb he doesn’t even realize who shot the cabby. Like why??"},"content":{"rendered":"

Because there are two types of people watching Sherlock. The ones who care about Lestrade as an actual character and the ones who are happy to see him as the stupid copper or comic relief. And both types of people watching Sherlock see what they want to see. <\/p>\n

The ones who like Lestrade see his knowing grin when he watches Sherlock go and hear his reminder to come in again and realise how closely Lestrade listens to Sherlock\u2019s deduction and know that of course he\u2019ll figure it out. Maybe not as fast as Sherlock but he\u2019ll get it and he knows who shot the cabbie.<\/p>\n

And the ones who like Lestrade as the comic relief are happy to hear Lestrade\u2019s exasperated \u201cSherlock\u201d and see Lestrade not following Sherlock\u2019s line of vision and think he\u2019s funny when he lets Sherlock go and Sherlock got the better of Lestrade again like he probably did before. <\/p>\n

And you know whose side I\u2019m on in this because I love Lestrade but the other option is also there. In the writing and it only got even more evident in the last season. So it\u2019d be great and incredibly when people would give Lestrade the attention and thought he deserves. Viewers as well as writers. But the show\u2019s called Sherlock and that\u2019s always were people\u2019s attentions will mostly lie. And that\u2019s fine with me. Let others watch Sherlock. I\u2019ll happily watch Lestrade be fantastic in the background or on the side lines. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
