This is to force them to be looking out for your application.\u00a0\n<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0When you get to the interview, shake their hand firmly, \u00a0tell them your first and last name. \u00a0\n<\/li>\n<li>Describe your experiences \u00a0as\u00a0\u201c two years transcription and data entry\u201d if you have a desk job interview and\u00a0\u201c [however many years] \u00a0costumer service, retail and stock\u201d for your retail jobs. \u00a0\n<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t use job\u00a0\u201c buzz words\u201d I stg they hear them all day. Say \u00a0things like,\u00a0\u201c I\u2019m detail oriented and am very good at taking instruction.\u201d \u00a0\u201c I would like to work for a company with integrity and I feel that [ company name] would be a good fit\u201d\n<\/li>\n<li>When they ask you if you have \u201creliable transportation\u201d say \u00a0YES. don\u2019t tell them what kind of transportation, just say yes. (if you don\u2019t do this, you wont get the job , I\u2019m telling you right now).\u00a0\n<\/li>\n<li>Research the company. Know what they do, why they do it, how OLD the company is. WHERE it was founded, and what kind of position you\u2019re intending to apply for.\n<\/li>\n<li>When they ask you\u00a0\u201c give us a situation where you had to blah blah blah\u201d Make one the fuck up. Make yourself sound good as hell, and like you put your company\u2019s needs slightly <i>above<\/i> the customer\u2019s needs, but make the customer happy.\u00a0\n<\/li>\n<li>If they ask you about being outgoing, Say you \u201clike to focus on your work so you can concentrate on doing things right\u201d (which buys you out of having to act friendly all the time)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Questions for after the interview:<\/p>\n<p>1. \u00a0Does this position offer upward mobility?<\/p>\n<p>2. Do you enjoy working for the company? (if you\u2019re not interviewing for a temp agency who will send you anywhere)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Then, shake their hand, <b>\u00a0Ask them to repeat their name<\/b> (REMEMBER THIS) say thank you for your time, wish them a nice day and leave. write their name down outside if you have to, just remember the fuck out of it.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>AFTER your interview, send a card <b>directed to the name of the person who interviewed you<\/b> (I\u2019ll give you them) that says\u00a0\u201cThank you for the interview, I appreciate the opportunity. have a great day\u201d This shows \u00a0that you have an understanding of professionalism, and will have them thinking of you kindly (or at least remembering you) when they\u2019re shuffling through the choices.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>DO NOT tell them you just moved to the city over the phone. \u00a0In person, tell them you just moved to the city. Make it sound like the only reason you need a job is because you moved.
