And the play <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Balcony\" target=\"_blank\">The Balcony in which mirrors<\/a> that both reflect and conceal play an important role.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, and just to pick another book at random, here\u2019s the seminal BDSM novel <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Story_of_O\" target=\"_blank\">The Story of O<\/a>. What? Oh, how about I just plonk a few more books on top of it. A bit far-fetched to think Mark Gatiss was thinking about this, probably, but a nice little detail: The author was less than happy about the adaptation and asked <a href=\"http:\/\/the.hitchcock.zone\/wiki\/Arthur_La_Bern\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cwhat happened (\u2026) to the authentic London characters I created\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This was probably just the director going \u201cyou write crime, you should have a crime novel on this table next to all the gay stuff\u201d. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Reblogging this for the weekend because LOOK AT ALL THESE GAY BOOKS.
