wednesday is at the local library with her father, searching the shelves for a book uncle fester told her about dangerous animals in south america. Gomez strikes up a conversation with the elderly librarian mrs. phelps to help wednesday find what they are looking for. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat one? Or, Mr. Addams – I\u2019m afraid it\u2019s been checked out.\u201d<\/p>\n

a squeaky wheel catches wednesday\u2019s attention, and right past her walks a girl with an ENTIRE red-rocket wagon topped full of books. the girl carefully looks over each book and drops them carefully into the book-return <\/p>\n

that\u2019s when wednesday sees it – the book she\u2019s been looking for.<\/p>\n

wednesday walked slowly up to the girl\u2019s wagon, and touched the cover.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just finished that one,\u201d the girl says. wednesday straightens up. \u201cIt has a fascinating chapter on the red-bellied piranhas of South America.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re looking at getting one for Pugsley\u2019s tank,\u201d wednesday says.<\/p>\n

\u201cA piranha? It will eat your fish,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m counting on it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIs Pugsley your fish?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy brother.\u201d Wednesday replied.<\/p>\n

The girl thought a moment. \u201cYou\u2019ll need at least a dozen – they hunt best in schools.\u201d<\/p>\n

wednesday just barely smiled, a single corner of her lips turning up. \u201cI\u2019m wednesday addams.\u201d she said, extending a hand.<\/p>\n

\u201cMatilda,\u201d the girl replied, shaking her hand. \u201cMatilda Wormwood.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I think the best part about this is that the Addams would adore her and just shower her with love. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cWormwood<\/i>,\u201d says Gomez, enchanted. \u201cWhat a lovely <\/i>name.\u201c\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Don\u2019t forget Miss Honey she would really love the Addams family and they her<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She would initially be kind of concerned, but the moment Morticia opened the door and welcomed her and showed such kindness to her own daughter and to Matilda and to Miss Honey herself, as soon as Gomez was a complete gentleman welcoming them into their home, she\u2019d love them. And they would be a little uncertain about her, so soft and sweet and light compared to them, but they would see how she didn\u2019t stare in horror at their decor, and how she nodded along, listening intently, as they talked about Pugsly\u2019s most recent achievements, and they would love her so.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
