the original tune is not this. the original tune is, however, public domain, so they\u2019re not wrong. it\u2019s francisco t\u00e1rrega\u2019s gran vals<\/b><\/a>\u00a0– check 0:12.<\/p>\n

but THIS, what he\u2019s playing, is the Valse Irritation d\u2019apr\u00e8s Nokia<\/i>, also known as the ringtone waltz, written by Marc-Andr\u00e9 Hamelin, who is a terrific canadian pianist and who wrote this as a snap reaction to having people\u2019s fucking cellphones go off at concerts.<\/p>\n

and the instant i first heard the valse irritation, you know what i had to do, immediately, and what at least three other people i know also did?<\/p>\n
