you are in line at mcdonalds. its really busy and the employees are overwhelmed. it\u2019s taking a long time. you are minding your own business. the old man in line next to you says to you,\u00a0\u201cboy, this is absolutely ridiculous, isn\u2019t it? these kids working just dont know what they\u2019re doing. Or they just dont care\u2026\u201d you awkwardly nod and take a step to the side<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This has probably been said a million times before but:\u00a0 Defend the employees.<\/p>\n

Really, you\u2019re never going to see Karen from Stubenville again in your life, so side-eye her real good and say:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not thier fault they\u2019re understaffed. Having worked retail before, they\u2019d love to have another three or five people back there helping out.\u00a0 But since the whole\u00a0\u2018downsizing\u2019 craze of the ninties, companies try to get as much out of thier employees as possible without regard for thier welfare, or the effect on service.\u00a0 You should really get on McD\u2019s website and complain about the chronic understaffing and tell them you\u2019re willing to pay more elsewhere for better service.\u00a0 They LISTEN to people like you.\u201d<\/p>\n

People love to complain, especially entitled people.\u00a0 The good news is that they\u2019re easily redirected with mild praise and a shiny new target.\u00a0 Butter the elders and aim them at the bourgoise.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
