I just want to say, as far politics go, there\u2019s one thing I haven\u2019t seen mentioned a lot.<\/p>\n
Democrats flipped\u00a0the house in a midterm<\/b><\/i>.<\/p>\n
See, conventional wisdom is that Dem\u2019s don\u2019t vote in midterms. It\u2019s often suggested that young people (which tend to skew democrat) will vote in presidential\u00a0elections, but don\u2019t bother with these in-between years.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m old enough to remember 1994 and\u00a0\u201cthe Republican Revolution.\u201d Something our politics is still reeling from today.<\/p>\n
But a democrat just took Newt Grinigich\u2019s\u00a0old seat.<\/p>\n
We still have a lot of work ahead of us, but even if Beto didn\u2019t win, even if some races were lost, many were gained and maybe, perhaps, we can start to fight back. And, if we keep voting, next time we\u2019ll win even more.<\/p>\n
