When Sherlock notices that everyone is crying at his speech and he says a little panicked \u201cJohn?!\u201d before asking if he did it wrong – oh, my heart.<\/p>\n

John, everyone is crying and that usually means I\u2019ve said something horrible.<\/em><\/p>\n

John, I tried so hard to do this right why didn\u2019t\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

You\u2019ll see Mycroft sitting at the lectern position in the Mind Palace, above Sherlock. \u00a0Completely unreachable. \u00a0John just sort of\u2026 \u00a0appears there. \u00a0Seeps in, stands as Sherlock\u2019s equal. \u00a0He doesn\u2019t lay on pressure to perform perfectly, as Mycroft seems to do in Sherlock\u2019s manifestation. \u00a0John asks simple questions that encourage Sherlock to think in more natural patterns. \u00a0John allows Sherlock to be human. \u00a0Mycroft expects what appears to be nothing less of immediate omniscience and mastery. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Sherlock is still so very much the little brother to Mycroft. \u00a0Competitive because he obviously internally idolizes Mycroft\u2019s mind. \u00a0Sherlock is a inferiority complex wrapped in a superiority complex, and unsure of which to succumb to. \u00a0The alienation of superiority, or the vulnerabilities of inferiority.<\/p>\n

Sherlock has never been treated like an equal, within such intimate boundaries. \u00a0<\/p>\n

John isn\u2019t as brilliant as Sherlock, his intellect not as broad, but John has never put himself or allowed Sherlock to coin their relationship under anything else than equality. \u00a0John is consistent in softly nudging Sherlock to be a better man.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
