At last Doctor!John!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>And it was as good as we all hoped it would be.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div>Doctor John H Watson, consulting BADASS.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>May I add in something here? I think you may enjoy knowing this if you do not already.<\/p>\n<p>What you saw right there was <strong>Captain<\/strong> <em>John<\/em> <em>H. Watson, FNF, MD, Retired.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve worked with military doctors. Doctors do bark out orders that they expect to be obeyed.<\/p>\n<p>What you saw here was a commanding officer, a <strong>Captain<\/strong>, give a <em><strong>command<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>While the doctor in John Watson can and has barked out orders we have not seen him give a command before.<\/p>\n<p>This scene was pure <strong>Captain<\/strong> <em>John H. Waston, FNF<\/em>. When an officer gives a command to one of lesser rank he does not expect it to be obeyed; he knows it will be obeyed. There is no question of \u201cif\u201d. That does not exist in the military.<\/p>\n<p>The soldier hesitated at first because John barked at him to \u201cCall the ambulance, now! as <em>Dr. John Watson.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>When the soldier did not move to comply then <em>Dr.John<\/em> <em>Watson<\/em> switched gears right into <strong>Captain<\/strong> <em>John Watson<\/em> and he issued a <em><strong>command<\/strong><\/em>. The solider knew the difference immediately. He obeyed <em><strong>Captain Watson<\/strong><\/em> without hesitation.<\/p>\n<p>John remained <strong>Captain<\/strong> <strong>Watson <\/strong>when he addressed Sherlock as \u201cnurse\u201d. That clearly startled Sherlock. When John became<strong> Captain<\/strong> <strong>Watson<\/strong> he remained within military protocol and addressed Sherlock in a military manner which is simple SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).<\/p>\n<p>It was also interesting to see Sherlock startled. Evidently he has not seen a lot of <strong>Captain Watso<\/strong>n either.<\/p>\n<p>Martin did a perfect turn here in this scene. He did not simply become louder, or more insistent. He became <em><strong>commanding<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Well done!<\/p>\n<p>And I absolutely agree with you! John Watson is a complete badass. However when he became military he was <strong>Captain<\/strong><em> John H. Watson, Fifth<\/em> <em>Northumberland Fusiliers<\/em> and he was then <strong>Captain Badass<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Who do I have to bribe\/kill\/blow to get a prequel series about John in Afghanistan? \u00a0WHO. \u00a0TELL ME WHO AND WHERE AND I\u2019LL SHOW UP.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>madlori: losethehours: ifmyheartwasatardis: tysolna: rox712: arlessiar:NF, BAMF Dr. Watson.
