Oh, he\u2019d really done it this time. Sam knelt beside what was left of Captain Jack Harkness with tears in his eyes. Knowing Jack could come back from this didn\u2019t make it better. It never did, because Jack\u00a0always<\/em> came back screaming, and the worse it was the longer it took.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He picked up Jack\u2019s head, kissing the cold lips gently. \u201cI\u2019ll take care of you,\u201d he said quietly. \u201cI promise.\u201d<\/p>\n

“Dude, It\u2019s a head. And why is it in my trunk?”<\/p>\n

“He\u2019ll come back, Jack always come back.” Sam picked it up and cradled it gently.<\/p>\n
