Here\u2019s my piece for the <strong>Letsdrawsherlock<\/strong> challenge of this month, focused on the missing scenes.<\/p>\n<p>My choice is not very original, but since the first time I watched <em>The Sign of Three<\/em>\u00a0I wanted to draw something about the waltz lesson given by Sherlock to John.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We have already seen Sherlock and John dancing, for instance in <em>Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows<\/em>, in which Holmes asks Watson to dance with him during a peace summit, regardless of any possible comment by the onlookers.<\/p>\n<p>Getting back to <em>The Sign of Three<\/em>, here\u2019s the final dialogue between John, Mary and Sherlock about this dance lesson.<\/p>\n<p><em>John: \u201cThis isn\u2019t a waltz, is it?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Mary: \u201cNo.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Sherlock: \u201cDon\u2019t worry, Mary\u2026 I have been tutoring him.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>John: \u201cHe did, you know. Baker Street, behind closed curtains. Mrs Hudson came in one time. I don\u2019t know how those rumours started!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I think that these lines highlight once again the gap that divides Sherlock and John from the world who observes them without understanding them. Mrs. Hudson sees them dance, and deduces that they have a love story. She doesn\u2019t understand, or at least she doesn\u2019t understand the whole complexity of their relationship.<\/p>\n<p>This made \u200b\u200bme think of a wonderful quote by Nietzsche (you can find it above, just after the title). Sherlock and John will always look insane in the eyes of those who can\u2019t understand them, and in the ears of those who can\u2019t hear their music.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sorry for the long and boring explanation!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please, don\u2019t repost.
