I was thinking Irene, but thought that was too obvious, too. Also, I have not seen enough Mary to make an informed judgment.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Irene could do the Lady Eboshi look, but she is a profoundly selfish character while everything Eboshi does is to help people who everyone else in society spits upon (whores, lepers, etc). I would say Mary is the more appropriate of the two, but neither os perfect.<\/p>\n

This is hard, because the only BBC character who is ruthless, clever, anthropocentric, and has a soft spot for the lowest members of society, who\u00a0sees their potential\u00a0instead of ignoring them, is\u2026 Sherlock. But we\u2019ve already cast him as San soo\u2026.\u00a0???<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
