Look even further behind these shelves and you\u2019ll see that even\u00a0<em>those<\/em>\u00a0books are labeled!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ladies and gentlemen of the courtroom,\u00a0I invite you to take a closer look at the volumes that are, allegedly, part of this law library! Something is missing from the spines, isn\u2019t there?<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/37f2246cf3d7cfa54de166067f4fc033\/tumblr_inline_n4ivcddQ8g1qj0upm.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Where are the bar codes?!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>This is a blatant contradiction! The OP is lying\u2014 these volumes\u00a0<em>cannot,<\/em> therefore, be a part of this library at all! I propose that they simply brought these materials in for the sake of the joke!!\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><img alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/img1.wikia.nocookie.net\/__cb20080826215445\/aceattorney\/images\/7\/75\/Objection.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Only focusing on one aspect and not the whole of the issue, are we, Mr. Wright? Typical.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/pinkie.ponychan.net\/chan\/files\/src\/139475881409.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Your honor, if you bring your attention to the books just left of the manga, you\u2019ll notice there\u2019s a book (the second to the left) that also does not have a bar code.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/files.gamebanana.com\/img\/ico\/sprays\/edgey_fingerwag_full_2.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you examine the picture even closer\u2014particularly the DVDs below\u2014you\u2019ll see that they bear bar codes, but not on the spines. No, they have them on the back and\/or front of the DVDs. Of course, this method of labeling and organizing isn\u2019t limited to products of the film industry alone.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/img1.wikia.nocookie.net\/__cb20120910001605\/pyruslords\/images\/d\/de\/Edgeworth_Objection.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Therefore, I\u2019d like to propose that it is entirely possible that the manga books do, in fact, belong to the library!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><img alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/04337712d1909e8397ba9f175ff5ee00\/tumblr_inline_n4iwi24imN1qj0upm.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Wh-WHAAAAT?!<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>You\u2019re kidding!!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/ffd78d20fcb8c1406ef17a31f6e5f44d\/tumblr_inline_n4iwmf7gle1qj0upm.gif\" \/><br \/>(Shoot, he\u2019s got me there\u2026 Better think of something fast! Something about the books that sets them apart from\u2014<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/7192573a9dbb3344ec34e2c58d4cdb5b\/tumblr_inline_n4iwrlcxRU1qj0upm.gif\" \/><br \/>\u2026! I\u2019ve got it!)<\/p>\n<p>While that may be true, you\u2019ve also overlooked one critical error: the titles of the books! Whether or not your hypothesis regarding the labeling system is correct, these titles aren\u2019t alphabetized correctly! What kind of self-respecting librarian would misplace such\u00a0<em>vital<\/em> books?\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Well, Edgeworth?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><img alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/img4.wikia.nocookie.net\/__cb20080902204342\/aceattorney\/images\/3\/3b\/Holdit.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/img1.wikia.nocookie.net\/__cb20130630173832\/aceattorney\/images\/3\/3f\/AA_Miles_Edgeworth_Court_Confident_1.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While it pains me to have to point out something so obvious, I suppose I\u2019ll make an exception for you, Wright.<\/p>\n<p>Clearly, one look at the titles of the books next to the manga is a tell-all of this certain library\u2019s less-than-stellar organization skills. None of the books are in alphabetical order, I\u2019m afraid.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/img3.wikia.nocookie.net\/__cb20130630173901\/aceattorney\/images\/4\/47\/AA_Miles_Edgeworth_Court_Pointing_2.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They could very well be alphabetized by author and not title, but it\u2019s a little difficult to be able to decipher that from this single picture, wouldn\u2019t you say?<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the manga books themselves are in <em>numerical\u00a0<\/em>order, suggesting some kind of system is in place, albeit not a very good one, if the alphabetizing is off.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/pinkie.ponychan.net\/chan\/files\/src\/139475881409.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At the end of the day, it seems like neither of us can draw a clear conclusion from this evidence alone. Your honor, I strongly suggest a recess in which we could investigate the library itself further.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>I see the issue here very clearly.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/c2e16fc46e9b5afa32dd7827a9e67aa2\/tumblr_inline_n4ixs4hKf41qj0upm.gif\" \/><br \/>Due to the uncertain nature of this case, we\u2019ll have to postpone this decision until more decisive evidence can be obtained. Zooming in, you can see a label on the DVD case to the bottom left.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>Photo Close-up added to the court record!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/bb17c0f4d6a9e71ad325c3db4caa3d29\/tumblr_n4j7ueQgrv1qfxi75o4_r1_250.png\" \/><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As you can see, pal, you can vaguely see the words \u201cOf Toledo Law Library\u201d on the label!<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/90e7fceeb002a93135748acca545b6e2\/tumblr_n4j7ueQgrv1qfxi75o1_400.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>And<\/em>, considering possibilities of the rest of that label, \u201c<em>University of Toledo<\/em>&ldquo; was the first to come to my mind!<\/p>\n<p>A quick search on the <a href=\"http:\/\/utmost.cl.utoledo.edu\/search\/?searchtype=X&amp;SORT=D&amp;searcharg=ace+attorney&amp;searchscope=3\" target=\"_blank\">University of Toledo\u2019s Online Law Library Database<\/a> revealed that there ARE the comics pictured in it!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Miles Edgeworth Ace Attorney Investigations volumes 1-4 and Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney volumes 1-5!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><img alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/42e1deedbaeeeeabeef90105051e26c0\/tumblr_n4j7ueQgrv1qfxi75o8_r1_250.png\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And there\u2019s more!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The section these comics are filed under is the \u201c<strong>Law in Popular Culture<\/strong>&rdquo; Section, which matches up with the titles on the rest of the books on that shelf: &ldquo;<em>Lowering the Bar: Lawyer Jokes &amp; Legal Culture<\/em>\u201d, \u201c<em>Prime Time Law<\/em>\u201d, \u201c<em>Lawyers in Your Living Room!<\/em>&rdquo; and &ldquo;<em>Lex Populi<\/em>\u201d!<\/p>\n<p>Not only is it in the right section, it\u2019s also a documented part of the Law Library\u2019s database!<\/p>\n<p>How\u2019s that for decisive evidence?<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/78.media.tumblr.com\/6ef559e52fc4f9210d836f43d787b4a3\/tumblr_n4j7ueQgrv1qfxi75o6_r1_400.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>I would also like to point out, without the use of fancy gifs, that this isn\u2019t Dewey Decimal system labeling, it\u2019s Library of Congress.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>crochetbytheway: ingthing: beamkatanachronicles: thepurpleeyedone: beamkatanachronicles: thepurpleeyedone: beamkatanachronicles: appleseeddrama: THEY HAVE THE ACE ATTORNEY OFFICIAL MANGA IN MY LAW LIBRARY I AM CRYING.
