(2\/2) Basically, equate that smiley face to a punching bag with a cutout of Sherlock\u2019s face on it, and when Sherlock got bored, when his mind rebelled at stagnation, he took to punching that bag (shooting the wall). The deliberate mirroring of the smiley face and Sherlock\u2019s actual face is pretty indicative of them being linked.
