She tries to appeal to \u201cOdin\u2019s\u201d sense of fair play and love for his son &#8211; talks about how they could extend human life just a bit, so that Thor, down on Midgard, need not suffer <em>too<\/em> soon.<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s stunned when Odin crassly denies her petition with no room for appeal, and it makes her suspicious.<\/p>\n<p>Sif is already suspicious. Odin\u2019s strange behavior regarding Lorelei has made her distrust him, even as she\u2019s loyal.<\/p>\n<p>The two of them head to Midgard and find Thor and Jane. Jane fangirls a little, as does our unnamed Asgardian doctor. (Sif heard from Thor about the ball, and our Asgardian doctor may bring one with her as a gift.)<\/p>\n<p>Cue science adventures while the group tries to find out why Odin\u2019s been acting so strangely. Jane and Asgard Doctor Lady save the day when they realize there\u2019s a strange field surrounding Odin \u2014 the same kind of field Loki generates when he\u2019s casting illusions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At the end, Jane and Asgard Doctor Lady are standing in front of one of Tony\u2019s interactive hologram displays, and Asgard Doctor Lady smiles and says, \u201cAh. A primitive display, but it will do for our purposes.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Jane grins.
