It doesn’t quite go as expected.<\/p>\n teaser below the cut<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jack sipped his drink, watching the bar. He didn\u2019t often come to London, but sometimes the job demanded it. And that dark haired young man didn\u2019t belong here. Not in this sort of bar anyway. Oh he was fitting in well. He would fool anyone else. But Jack Harkness had been around the block enough to spot a phony. He got a second pint and made his way over, sliding smoothly in next to the man. \u201cCaptain Jack Harkness,\u201d he smiled, setting down the pint.<\/p>\n The stranger narrowed his eyes and looked at Jack, seeming to take in every detail. \u201cYou\u2019re Torchwood.\u201d<\/p>\n Jack leaned back, smile never slipping, even as he crossed his arms. \u201cWell. You seem to have me at a disadvantage.\u201d<\/p>\n He scoffed. \u201cI have everyone at a disadvantage.\u201d<\/p>\n Leaning forward again, Jack met his eyes. \u201cYou don\u2019t belong in here. You came looking for someone.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWell then, \u2018Captain\u2019, that makes two of us.\u201d His voice was deep, clearly used to manipulating people to get what he wanted. Maybe a latent psychic talent no one would know about for a few hundred years.<\/p>\n \u201cIs the guy you\u2019re looking for here?\u201d Jack\u2019s tongue slid along his lips.<\/p>\n Rolling his eyes, the man made to stand. \u201cNo. And I have no interest in anything you might have to offer.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cCan I get a name, at least?\u201d Jack watched him, intrigued.<\/p>\n \u201cSherlock Holmes.\u201d He was gone in a swirl of coat. Jack chuckled. He knew that trick too. Well, he might be back. And Jack could be patient.<\/p>\n
