Their output was basically \u201cwhite elf\u201d, \u201canother white elf\u201d, \u201cwhite elf with a tan\u201d, \u201cwhite elf looking a bit pale\u201d, \u201cyet another white elf\u201d, etc.<\/p>\n<p>When this was pointed out, they were like \u201coh, yeah, now I get it &#8211; I\u2019ll totally fix that with my next piece\u201d.<\/p>\n<p> They proceeded to turn in a picture of a <em>blue<\/em> elf.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In the end, we had to provide specific quotas for specific levels of racial representation in order to get the point across. It all worked out in the end, but it\u2019s stuck with me ever since that this artist examined the original spec, looked at our feedback, and came to the conclusion a blue elf was more plausible than a black one.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In conclusion: this is <strong>awesome<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Read that last paragraph as many times as you need to.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>medievalpoc: prokopetz: cleopatrasweave: i drew a bunch of elves of color!!
