Among some of the most significant texts:<\/p>\n<p><em>The Book of Knowledge of Ingenious Mechanical Devices<\/em>\u00a0(1206\u00a0A.D.), which was inspired by an earlier, 9th-century translation of Archimedes\u2019 writings on water clocks.
