Captain Jack Harkness. He may be one of the most sexual characters in the history of ever but he backs the fuck off if anyone isn\u2019t interested in his advances.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I hate seeing people reduce him to just \u201cthat funny guy who sleeps with everyone.\u201d His character appears cocky and makes innuendo at every available opportunity, but his sexuality never actually defines him as a character (he just happens to be a 51st century pansexual\/omnisexual, though he probably wouldn\u2019t care for labels) and his story is tragic. as. <i>fuck<\/i>. (I would go so far as to say his character is one of the most tragic in <i>Torchwood<\/i> or <i>Doctor Who<\/i>, because the only thing more tragic than dying is <i>not being able to die<\/i>).<\/p>\n<p>And you know what? He isn\u2019t hornier than anyone else.\u00a0He just came from a time\/place where it\u2019s acceptable to talk about sex and flirt with people. I don\u2019t recall him treating men or women differently; people (regardless of gender) are respected when they deserve it, and are harmlessly flirted with equally to an extent (until someone gives a sign that they want to <i>actually<\/i> flirt). He likes contact and intimacy; sex is natural to him, just an enjoyable activity probably on the same level of pleasure as seeing a good movie or cuddling or having pizza, so he wouldn\u2019t mind if someone didn\u2019t want to have sex with him.\u00a0He seems like the sort of person who gives the <i>best<\/i> hugs, with no wandering hands if you didn\u2019t indicate that you wanted to be touched.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>hattedhedgehog: You know which character I respect a hell of a lot?
