it:<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>&ldquo;Your turn.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Sherlock glared at his son. \u201cI could be looking in the newspapers for a nice murder right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<i>Your turn<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFine. Miss Scarlet, in the Kitchen, with the lead piping.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hamish deftly shuffled through his cards, plucked out the weapon card and revealed it to Sherlock.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Show me another card, you\u2019ve already showed me the lead piping.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Nope,&rdquo; Hamish replied, &ldquo;it\u2019s not against the rules, I can show you the same card twice if I want to.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;But if I went to a crime scene and Anderson showed me the same evidence twice, I\u2019d ask him if his remaining brain cell ever got lonely.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;What difference does it make anyway,&rdquo; Hamish cried indignantly, &ldquo;you\u2019re not even writing anything down!&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Sherlock leaned froward and looked straight into the younger Holmes\u2019 eyes. \u201cHamish, let me tell you something very important. I am the world\u2019s number one consulting detective. If I went to a murder crime scene, I could tell you within a minute the murder weapon, the motive and the murderers\u00a0preference\u00a0of underwear. Comparered with that, Cluedo is ridiculously easy, I could win in a second and I certainly don\u2019t need to write anything down.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Prove it.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Sherlock looked startled, \u201cExcuse me?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Go on, prove it, I want you to prove that you could win Cluedo in a second.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Sherlock frowned at this unexpected request before leaning forward and carefully\u00a0scrutinizing\u00a0the\u00a0board.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It was Professor\u00a0Plum with the candlestick in the ballroom.&rdquo; He picked up the victim cards and looked at each of them in turn. &ldquo;The cards are wrong.&rdquo; he proclaimed before tossing them behind him.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Well you guessed wrong so does that mean I win?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Sherlock gave a non-commital jerk of the head, before dragging his dressing-gown around himself and turning his back on Hamish, sending the Cluedo board flying across the room as he did so.
